If there are missed areas wipe the oxidation with a damp cloth. You see it is only the surface that is discoloured under that it is as good as new. Rinse well with plain water. Work it gently into the plastic give it a few seconds to dry buff it off and there you go.

A paint has to be pretty darn flexible to cope with that. This can t be avoided but it can be repaired. All surfaces must be clean dry and free of dirt grease grime and mildew. Use a 12 hydrogen peroxide cream instead of the liquid variety most stores carry.
