Renault Megane Convertible Roof Won T Close

Its a bit confusing.

When i try and open the roof the boot starts to open on one side only offside the other side of the boot trys to open so the hydraulic ram is working but the release catch in the boot does not release. Nearside rear window would not drop other 3 did. Megane 2 convertible roof issues just thought i would put my findings so far with a megane convertible i have in for repair to roof. To get the roof to close fully start the engine turn the sunroof dial to the closed position then press and hold the button in the middle of this dial if nothing happens after about 30 seconds.

Removed window mechanism by removing rear seat and inner plastics to gain access. Syptoms were as follows roof warning on dash when button pressed to check roof op. When i was closing the roof the other day i foolishly tried to close the drivers side window at the same time. My problem is that the rear cover opens and roof goes up.
