Manually move the garage door and return to down position.
You will notice that there is a lever that moves up and down when you pull on the cord.
This disengages the electric drive from the door and you can manually open and close it.
This is a simple procedure requiring only a few steps and with just a small amount of precaution you can easily release and reset your own garage door whenever needed.
To manually open most garage doors you simply pull a corded handle that is attached to the door.
To reset it begin by pulling the cord in the opposite direction.
Once you are done maneuvering your garage door and are ready to re engage the automatic door opener please return the garage door back to the down position.
