Install a replacement soap dish of either the retrofit style or in plain tile.
Replace soap dish tile wall.
Find wall mounted soap dishes at lowe s today.
A putty knife works well for this.
Use thin set and hold your new soap dish in place using long strips of duct tape crossing the new dish tile.
Now that you have what you need let s get the project started.
You should apply the polyurethane adhesive around the outer edge of the soap dish.
Removing the soap dish and keeping it intact or removing it in pieces.
To keep the tile around the dish clean of epoxy create a perimeter just outside of your pencil outline with painter s tape.
Use a little bit of extra adhesive with the soap dish since it is heavier.
After the dish is fully secured you will remove this perimeter tape along with the tape holding the dish in place.
Leave a border around the outside of the tile untouched by the adhesive since it will spread when you push the tile or the dish into the wall.

The shower wall where the soap dish has fallen out of should also be cleaned up and all of the loose adhesives should be removed.
If you would like to re use the soap dish do your best to remove the soap dish intact.
Hold the soap dish against the tile and lightly draw an outline in pencil.
Add a layer of adhesive to the back of the replacement tile or dish.
A polyurethane adhesive combined with a quick set epoxy gel work well for bonding the soap dish in place.
Otherwise a hammer and a heavy flat head screwdriver will get the job done.
If the soap dish has fallen entirely off the wall you can skip ahead to the third step.
Choose a spot on the wall for the new dish that s four or five tiles below the showerhead about 16 to 20 inches and two or three tiles to the right or left.
Removing a ceramic soap dish from ceramic tile can be done in one of two ways.
Loosen the old grout.
For tiled walls you ll need a porcelain soap dish and for the install you ll need to remove some tile.
Regrout after 24 hours.
