Buy a tube of roofing cement 1 40 and a metal repair patch several inches larger than the damaged area. Insert the drop outlet in the hole and fasten the new downspout with sheet metal screws. To restore or repair your rusted box gutter liner you first need to clean the gutter and remove any debris. Make sure to seal the drop outlet to the gutter with seam sealer.

There should be no more than a inch drop in the direction of the downspout. Screw in 2 3 philip s screws and remove the other hangers. For example use aluminum flashing to patch an aluminum gutter.
