If you have ever came to a locks that had no screws no set screw and no de. I had to fix it. Find the screws on the side of the door that secure the latch plate. Take out the screws then carefully pry off the plate with a flat head screwdriver.

The screws secure the knobs together to the door. When repairing or replacing a doorknob lever you need to remove the faceplate also called a trim plate or rosette to gain access to the internal latch and mounting components.
